This candy dish belongs to that rare company. The wide, wing-like glass bowl — its silhouette drawn from the fluid geometry of a shell — curves upward at each end as if caught mid-motion, while the hammered surface across its interior catches and scatters ambient light in a restless, shifting pattern. Beneath it, three polished brass spheres cluster at the neck of a four-legged brass base whose splayed, scrolled feet recall the controlled elegance of the Art Deco workshop at its most assured.

Materials & Craftsmanship

The bowl is blown and hand-hammered glass with a faint aqua tint — the kind of subtle color that reads as clarity in natural light and deepens to ice-blue under artificial warmth. The hammered texture is not decorative affectation; it stiffens the thin glass walls structurally while creating a surface that no two angles reveal the same way. The brass base is cast and hand-finished, the three spheres fitted precisely at the junction between bowl and stand, secured by a small decorative brass finial visible from above. The base legs are cast with a gentle outward sweep, giving the piece visual stability without adding visual weight. Every element is handcrafted in Egypt by Brass & Wood artisans who work within both the metalsmithing and glassworking traditions.

Dimensions & Details

Weight: 4 kg.
