Louis XV Barrel Chair with Damask Upholstery & Gilt Wood Accents
Design Inspiration
Rooted in the splendour of the Louis XV era, this barrel-back salon chair captures the fluid curves, asymmetric ornament, and intimate comfort that defined mid-18th-century French court furniture. Brass & Wood artisans have faithfully reproduced every swelling contour and decorative flourish, making it an heirloom statement piece for any refined living room.
Materials & Finish
The frame is built from kiln-dried solid hardwood, finished to a rich high-gloss lacquer that highlights the warm dark-brown tone of the wood. Marquetry panels adorning the side apron display scrolling foliate motifs in contrasting wood veneers. Gilt brass mounts crown the crest rail and tip each cabriole leg with an elegant sabots, adding luminous golden accents throughout.
Upholstery & Comfort
Seat, back, and a coordinating lumbar cushion are upholstered in an ivory damask fabric whose woven floral-scroll pattern subtly catches the light. High-density foam padding delivers a firm yet welcoming seat firmness, while the generously curved barrel back cradles the sitter with natural support.
