This extraordinary dining table draws from the grandeur of Baroque and Rococo classicism, where every surface becomes a canvas for artistic expression. The deeply sculpted pedestal base features cascading acanthus leaves, shell motifs, and scrolling foliate arabesques — each motif hand-carved to crisp, dimensional relief. The octagonal tabletop perimeter is accented with gold-leaf banding that frames a continuous hand-painted polychrome floral frieze in soft pinks, sage greens, burnt oranges, and sky blues, evoking the decorative exuberance of 18th-century palatial interiors.

Materials & Finish

Crafted entirely from solid fine hardwoods, the table is finished in a rich ivory lacquer that lends the piece an air of aristocratic elegance. The carved pedestal base is unified with the same ivory palette, while gilded detailing along the apron edge provides a luminous contrast. The hand-painted floral band wrapping the full apron is applied by skilled artisans using traditional brushwork, ensuring no two tables are ever identical. The solid wood tabletop surface is smoothly lacquered for durability and ease of maintenance.

Craftsmanship

Every element of this table is produced entirely by hand at the Brass & Wood atelier in Cairo. Carvers, gilders, and painters work in concert to achieve the refined harmony of sculptural and decorative arts that defines classical European furniture at its highest level. No factory shortcuts, no press-moulded ornaments — only hand tools, traditional joinery, and generations of accumulated craft knowledge.
