Straight, architectural lines are softened by exquisitely carved gilt acanthus-leaf crests along the top rail, rope-twist mouldings along the seat rail, and rosette medallions adorning the fluted tapered legs — every detail an echo of Versailles at its most luminous.

Materials & Upholstery

The frame is constructed from fine solid hardwoods, finished in a deep burgundy-toned lacquer and lavishly accented with hand-applied gold-leaf gilding on all carved surfaces. The seat, back and armrests are upholstered in a sumptuous ivory damask fabric whose tone-on-tone baroque scrollwork pattern adds a layer of understated opulence.
