Ivory Linen-Upholstered Louis XVI Bedroom Set

A complete bedroom in soft ivory and oatmeal linen, built on clean Louis XVI proportions. The bed pairs a painted frame with a full upholstered headboard and footboard — an arched, quietly curved silhouette in neutral fabric, held between turned posts topped with ball finials. The dressing table carries a tall arched mirror on scrolled uprights above a slim top with moulded drawers and small brass knobs, all standing on fluted, tapered legs. The bedside commodes are more sculptural: a single drawer beneath a moulded cornice, carried on square fluted columns headed with crisply carved acanthus capitals over an open display shelf. An upholstered bench and a matching stool complete the group in the same linen tone.

The frames are cut, carved and assembled in solid timber, then hand-painted and rubbed back to a smooth ivory before the upholstery is hand-stretched over sprung, padded panels. Handcrafted by Brass & Wood in Egypt, the set is made for a bright master bedroom where classic French lines are kept pale and restrained — a room that reads calm at first glance and detailed on closer inspection.
