Louis XV Rococo Abaya Armoire – Walnut & Antique Brass Marquetry
Design Inspiration
Drawing from the opulent vocabulary of the Louis XV Rococo court, this abaya armoire captures the playful asymmetry and flowing curves that defined eighteenth-century French luxury. Every serpentine line, every gilded scroll speaks of an era when furniture was living sculpture.
Materials & Finish
The cabinet body is constructed from solid walnut with a deep, hand-rubbed finish that reveals the timber's natural figuring. Intricate hand-laid brass marquetry unfolds across the door panel in a floral urn motif, framed by sinuous brass stringing. Antique brass ormolu mounts crown the bonnet top, flank the door, and tip each elegantly curved cabriole leg.
Glass & Interior
A full-height bevelled glass door panel protects garments while displaying them beautifully. The generously proportioned interior is tailored for long abayas, maximising hanging space without compromise.
Brass & Wood Craftsmanship
Every piece is handcrafted in Egypt by Brass & Wood master artisans who blend centuries-old European joinery traditions with contemporary precision. Each armoire is a signed, numbered heirloom built to be passed down through generations.
