Louis XVI Ivory Lacquer Dressing Table with Arched Mirror
A slender dressing table in soft ivory lacquer, crowned by a tall arched mirror set in a carved moulded frame and flanked by fluted posts that finish in small turned finials. The rectangular top sits above a panelled apron holding three drawers, each opened by a little round brass knob, and the whole frame stands on fluted, tapered Louis XVI legs with carved rosette blocks at the shoulders and neat turned feet below.
Every profile is shaped and carved by hand before the ivory lacquer is built up in fine layers, so the mouldings stay crisp at the edges while the surface reads smooth and luminous under bedroom light. Handcrafted by Brass & Wood in Egypt, it belongs against a bedroom wall or in a dressing room, paired with a linen stool and a soft lamp — a quiet, classical station for the start of the day.
