One-Drawer Bedside Commode with Fluted Legs and Open Shelf in White

A clean, compact bedside commode with a single panelled drawer set beneath a crisp moulded top and opened by a small antique-brass knob. Hand-carved acanthus brackets soften the point where the frame meets four fluted legs, which taper to turned feet and are braced by a solid lower shelf — useful for books, a folded throw or a tray. The white lacquer finish is smooth and even, letting the carving and the reeding on the legs carry all the detail.

The body is jointed in solid timber, the drawer runs smoothly on a lined interior, and the carving is worked by hand before the piece is primed and lacquered in layers. Handcrafted by Brass & Wood in Egypt, it partners a classic or upholstered bed as a nightstand, and is equally at home as a small side table in a dressing area or hallway where a light footprint matters.
