Design Inspiration

Rooted in the grandeur of 18th-century French Rococo, this oval nightstand captures the curvaceous spirit of Louis XV furniture. Its kidney-shaped silhouette, sweeping cabriole legs tipped with gilded sabots, and ornate brass acanthus-leaf mounts echo the opulent interiors of Versailles — reimagined by Brass & Wood's master craftsmen in Egypt.

Materials & Finish

The body is constructed from solid mahogany, enriched with hand-selected burl walnut veneer panels that showcase nature's most dramatic grain patterns. Decorative mounts, drawer pulls, and sabot feet are cast in antique brass, individually patinated to achieve a warm, aged lustre. A bevelled oval glass top crowns the piece, offering both surface protection and a refined contemporary touch.

Storage & Functionality

Three graduated drawers provide generous storage, each fitted with sculptural antique-brass bail handles. A lower oval shelf offers additional display space. The piece stands on four elegantly curved cabriole legs, ensuring stability without sacrificing beauty.

Craftsmanship

Every Brass & Wood piece is handmade in our Cairo atelier by artisans trained in classical European joinery and marquetry. Hand-cut dovetail joints, hand-applied finishes, and individually fitted brass hardware ensure that each nightstand is a singular work of decorative art — built to be inherited.
