Rooted in the opulent French Louis XV tradition, this bombe commode embodies the graceful curves and theatrical grandeur of Rococo furniture design. The serpentine silhouette, cabriole legs, and swelling drawer fronts echo the finest pieces produced in the royal ateliers of 18th-century Versailles, reimagined for the modern luxury interior.

Materials

The corpus is crafted from solid wood and dressed in exquisitely figured burr walnut veneer, whose swirling grain patterns give each piece a one-of-a-kind character. The top is finished in a slab of warm emperador marble, its rich amber and chocolate veining perfectly complementing the wood tones below. All hardware — from the escutcheons to the corner mounts and sabots — is cast in solid brass and hand-finished to a lustrous antique gold patina.

Craftsmanship

Every detail is executed by Brass & Wood's master craftsmen in Egypt, following century-old joinery and gilding techniques. The ormolu mounts are individually cast, chased, and fitted by hand. Brass inlay stringing traces the drawer edges with precision, while the cabriole legs terminate in delicately scrolled brass sabots that anchor the piece with elegance.
