Neoclassical Ivory Corner Table with Polychrome Floral Inlay
Design Inspiration
Rooted in the Neoclassical tradition that swept European courts in the late 18th century, this corner table draws on the refined botanical vocabulary of the era — cascading arabesques, stylised tulips, and radiant medallion compositions that echo the grandeur of Versailles and the sophistication of Ottoman-influenced European decorative arts. The ivory lacquer ground provides a luminous canvas against which every gilded tendril and jewel-toned petal commands attention.
Materials & Finish
The tabletop and apron are crafted from solid wood finished in a signature ivory lacquer, into which polychrome floral inlay is set by hand — incorporating gold, deep burgundy, forest green, and teal pigments that replicate the look of pietra dura stonework. The four elegantly tapered and reeded legs are turned from natural solid wood, left in a warm honey tone to contrast the painted body and ground the piece with organic warmth.
Craftsmanship
Every motif is applied by Brass & Wood artisans trained in Egypt's finest classical workshops. The medallion centrepiece on the tabletop, the continuous scroll border along the apron, and the corner accent details are each executed with fine brushwork and inlay techniques passed down through generations — ensuring that no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
