Pastoral River Hamlet Oil Painting - Ivory & Gold Layered Frame

Design & Inspiration

A pastoral idyll in the European landscape tradition: a stone tower house with a steep tiled roof presides over a bend of quiet water, a rowing boat rests among the reeds, and soft light threads through poplars and willows. The mood is calm, lyrical, timeless.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Oils applied by hand over a full underpainting give the water its depth and the sky its veiled glow. The frame is built in stepped layers — ivory-lacquered flats between gold beaded and foliate mouldings — carved from solid Romanian redwood.

Dimensions & Details

Width: 130 cm / Height: 100 cm. The ivory-and-gold frame suits bright interiors and pairs naturally with cream, white and gilded furniture.
