Rooted in the exuberant spirit of the Louis XV Rococo era, this corner table captures the playful asymmetry, sinuous curves, and love of nature that defined eighteenth-century French court interiors. The shaped, serpentine-edged top — adorned with a richly detailed floral marquetry medallion — evokes the grand tables de salon commissioned for the Palace of Versailles and the finest Parisian hôtels particuliers.

Materials & Finish

The table is constructed from solid walnut, carefully selected for its warm grain and structural integrity. The tabletop showcases an intricate floral marquetry panel crafted from multiple contrasting wood veneers, framed by a polished brass gallery rail. Sumptuously cast ormolu mounts — gilded bronze appliqués depicting acanthus scrolls, floral sprays, and foliate cartouches — adorn the apron and the tops of all four cabriole legs, which terminate in graceful gilt sabots. Every brass element is hand-finished to an antique-gold lustre that complements the warm mahogany tones of the wood.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is entirely handcrafted by Brass & Wood master artisans in Egypt, drawing on centuries-old joinery and marquetry techniques. The cabriole legs are shaped by hand, the veneer panels are individually cut and laid, and every ormolu mount is hand-chased before gilding — ensuring that no two pieces are ever identical. The result is a functional work of art equally at home beside a chaise longue, at a bedside, or as a statement accent in an entrance hall.
