Rooted in the opulence of 18th-century French Rococo, this bombe commode captures the sweeping curves and romantic sensibility of the Louis XV court. The serpentine silhouette, cabriole legs tipped with gilded sabots, and a central medallion of hand-painted roses evoke the grandeur of Versailles interiors.

Materials

Crafted from solid hardwood, the piece is finished in a refined ivory lacquer that serves as a luminous canvas for ornamental detail. The surface is crowned with a genuine brown-veined marble slab, lending natural elegance and lasting durability. Bronze-toned brass hardware accents each drawer pull and corner mount.

Craftsmanship

Every curve is shaped by hand in Brass & Wood's Cairo atelier. Gilded acanthus scrollwork is applied in real gold leaf, while the central floral bouquet and side sprays are individually hand-painted by skilled artisans. The result is a one-of-a-kind heirloom piece that bridges classical European heritage with meticulous Egyptian craftsmanship.
