Louis XV Rococo Bombe Commode with Gilt Bronze Mounts & Marble Top
Design Inspiration
Rooted in the grandeur of 18th-century French Rococo, this bombe commode captures the sweeping curves, organic ornamentation, and theatrical elegance that defined the Louis XV court. Its swelling serpentine form and asymmetric bronze cartouches echo the finest creations of Parisian ébénistes.
Materials
Crafted from solid hardwood with meticulously hand-laid kingwood parquetry veneer in a chevron pattern, the piece is crowned with a shaped marble top featuring rich veining. Ornamental mounts are cast in solid brass and finished in polished antique gold, adorning every corner, apron, and drawer pull.
Craftsmanship
Each mount is individually hand-chased and applied by Brass & Wood master artisans in Egypt, preserving centuries-old techniques. The two-drawer configuration conceals smooth-gliding interiors, while the cabriole legs terminate in elaborately sculpted gilt sabots, completing a silhouette of uncompromising luxury.
