Rooted in the opulent Louis XV Rococo tradition, this bombe commode echoes the sweeping curves and romantic ornamentation of 18th-century French court furniture. The swelling serpentine silhouette, cabriole legs, and cascading rose motifs evoke the refined femininity and playful grandeur that defined the era.

Materials & Finish

Constructed from premium solid wood, the piece is enveloped in a hand-applied ivory lacquer finish that lends warmth and luminosity. Ornate brass hardware — including corner mounts, escutcheons, and apron cartouches — is finished in antique gold, providing rich contrast against the pale ground. The top surface and all four faces are adorned with hand-painted pink rose bouquets and gilded scrollwork, each bloom unique to the craftsman's brush.

Craftsmanship

Every detail is executed by Brass & Wood artisans in Egypt, who marry traditional European joinery with hand-painting techniques passed through generations. The bombe body is shaped and sanded by hand to achieve its characteristic outward swell, while brass fittings are cast, chased, and individually fitted to each piece, ensuring no two commodes are identical.
