Design Inspiration

Rooted in the refined aesthetic of the Louis XVI court, this tea table captures the Neoclassical spirit at its most graceful. The surface showcases a magnificent central medallion of hand-cut floral marquetry radiating outward into scrolling acanthus borders, all executed in richly contrasting satinwood, rosewood, and fruitwood veneers. Every motif recalls the grand ateliers of 18th-century Paris, where symmetry and botanical ornament reigned supreme.

Materials & Finish

The table is built on a solid hardwood carcase dressed in meticulously book-matched veneers. Crisp brass banding frames the tabletop, while hand-chased ormolu mounts — draped garlands, acanthus corner capitals, and sabots — adorn the apron and tapered legs. The legs themselves are ebonised to a deep, lustrous mahogany tone, terminating in polished brass feet that anchor the composition with understated luxury.

Craftsmanship

Each Brass & Wood piece is handcrafted in Egypt by master artisans trained in classical European joinery and marquetry. Veneers are hand-laid and pressed, brass elements are individually cast and finished, and every surface is hand-polished to a museum-quality standard.
