Rooted in the refined elegance of the Louis XVI period, this tea table channels the Neoclassical ideals of symmetry, restraint, and architectural precision that defined the court of Versailles. Its parquetry-veneered top displays a striking diamond-pattern marquetry, evoking the grand writing tables commissioned by French nobility in the late 18th century. The piece is a faithful homage to the great ébénistes of the Ancien Régime.

Materials & Finish

The frame is constructed from solid hardwood, dressed in a deep, warm mahogany veneer with book-matched parquetry panels on the tabletop. Every surface is enriched by hand-applied gilt bronze ormolu mounts — foliate garlands, ribbon-tied laurel swags, acanthus corner blocks, and interlacing scrollwork friezes — cast and chased to the highest standard. The tapered, fluted legs are capped with delicate gilt bronze sabots, resting on polished brass castors for effortless movement.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is individually handcrafted at the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt by artisans trained in classical European joinery and gilding traditions. The ormolu elements are cast in bronze, hand-finished, and secured to the carcase with period-correct methods, ensuring decades of heirloom-quality durability. Three functional drawers along the apron provide discreet storage while preserving the table's pristine silhouette.
