Brass & Wood Louis XVI Damask Dining Chair
Design Inspiration
Rooted in the refined splendour of the Louis XVI era, this dining chair by Brass & Wood captures the neoclassical spirit of late 18th-century France. The shaped shield-like back, scrolled cresting rail adorned with floral carvings, and softly curved apron reflect the restrained grandeur that defined the court of Versailles.
Materials & Finish
The solid wood frame is finished in a warm medium-brown tone and enriched with hand-applied gilded highlights on the carved floral corner blocks, apron mouldings, and leg collars. Four slender tapered fluted legs terminate in brass sabots, adding a subtle metallic accent. The upholstery features a lustrous pale-blue damask with a tonal floral pattern, edged with a refined cord trim.
Craftsmanship
Every detail — from the hand-carved acanthus crestings to the individually gilded corner rosettes — is executed by Brass & Wood's master artisans in Cairo. Traditional joinery and hand-finishing techniques ensure both structural integrity and visual authenticity faithful to European classical originals.
Available Configurations
This chair is available in two arm type options: With Arms and Without Arms, allowing you to compose a dining set that balances host and side seating according to your interior vision.
