Rooted in the opulence of the French Louis XV court, this grand salon sofa captures the free-flowing curves and romantic elegance of the Rococo era. The sinuous silhouette, gently scalloped seat rail, and sweeping cabriolet back speak to 18th-century French aristocratic taste, faithfully reproduced by Brass & Wood artisans in Egypt.

Upholstery & Fabric

The sofa is dressed in a rich tapestry fabric — a Gobelin-style weave on a deep navy ground — featuring a central romantic pastoral medallion framed by scrolling gold acanthus foliage and clusters of blush roses. The seat panel echoes the same ornamental vocabulary, ensuring visual continuity across the full width of the piece.

Frame & Finish

The solid wood frame is finished in a lustrous gold-leaf gilding, meticulously applied and burnished by hand to replicate the authentic glow of period French furniture. Cabriole legs with carved floral knees flow into scrolled feet, while the apron features relief carvings of flowers and shells, hallmarks of the Louis XV idiom.
