Cascading acanthus leaves, scrolling foliate aprons, and a pierced central cartouche burst with organic energy, while four elegantly curved cabriole legs taper to delicate scrolled feet — united by a graceful X-stretcher crowned with a fluted finial. Materials & Finish

The entire frame is hewn from solid wood, then painstakingly hand-carved by Brass & Wood artisans before receiving layers of genuine gold leaf applied through the centuries-old water-gilding technique. The result is a luminous, warm gilt surface that catches the light from every angle. The tabletop is a slab of genuine green marble — its natural veining providing a dramatic dark counterpoint to the radiant gold base.

Craftsmanship

Each piece leaving the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt is the product of weeks of skilled handwork: deep-relief carving, meticulous gesso preparation, hand-burnished gold leaf, and a final protective lacquer. No two pieces are identical; the marble veining and hand-gilding ensure each console is a one-of-a-kind heirloom.
