Materials & Finish

The frame is constructed from fine solid hardwood, hand-finished in a warm ivory lacquer with subtle antique distressing along the edges. Gilt highlights adorn the carved rosette corner blocks at the seat rail and trace the length of the fluted legs, adding warmth and a quiet opulence against the pale ground. The upholstery is a soft, tactile velvet in a warm champagne-ivory tone that complements the lacquered frame perfectly.

Craftsmanship

Every element of this chair is shaped by hand in the Brass & Wood workshop in Cairo. The medallion back panel is individually carved and padded before being button-tufted in a classic diamond formation using deep-set fabric buttons. The seat pad is generously filled for comfort without sacrificing the proper proportions demanded by the Louis XVI silhouette.
