Rooted in the opulent traditions of 18th-century French court furniture, this oval guéridon table captures the flowing asymmetry and refined elegance of the Louis XV era. Its sinuous cabriole legs, delicate pierced brass gallery, and richly inlaid surfaces evoke the grandeur of Versailles.

Materials

Crafted from solid mahogany and rosewood veneers, the piece features multi-wood marquetry panels depicting floral and foliate motifs. The pierced gallery rail, corner mounts, sabots, and central drawer pull are cast in antique ormolu-finished brass, lending a warm golden contrast to the warm wood tones.

Craftsmanship

Each element is hand-assembled by master artisans in Egypt, continuing a centuries-old tradition of European fine furniture making. The marquetry inlay on both the oval top and the lower oval shelf is hand-cut and fitted piece by piece, while the ormolu mounts are individually cast and hand-chased to achieve their intricate relief detailing.
