A central tapestry panel depicts a pastoral romantic scene, a hallmark motif of the Louis XV period inspired by the paintings of Boucher and Fragonard.

Materials & Upholstery

The frame is crafted from fine solid wood, meticulously shaped by hand and finished in rich gold leaf to achieve a luminous, aged brilliance. The upholstery is executed in a deep navy Gobelin tapestry fabric, woven with intricate floral scrollwork, delicate rose clusters, and a central figurative medallion in warm blush and champagne tones. The contrast between the midnight-blue ground and the gilded frame creates a dramatic visual presence suited to the grandest living rooms.

Craftsmanship

Every sofa in the Brass & Wood atelier is handcrafted in Egypt by artisans trained in the classical European tradition. The joinery is assembled with traditional woodworking techniques; the gold-leaf application is performed by hand in multiple layered coats for depth and durability. Upholstery is hand-stretched and hand-tacked to ensure a taut, museum-quality finish across all four seating positions.
