Its graceful half-moon silhouette, swag drapery marquetry, and medallion rosettes echo the disciplined symmetry and decorative vocabulary of the Versailles era.

Materials

Crafted from solid mahogany with a warm, deep reddish-brown finish, the piece features a book-matched veneer surface that highlights the wood's natural figuring. The top is dressed in a slab of veined beige marble, framed by a finely detailed antique brass gallery rail. Tapered square legs are accented with brass sabots and collars.

Marquetry & Brass Ornamentation

The facade is adorned with hand-cut satinwood marquetry depicting swaged ribbons, bow knots, and sunburst medallions — a hallmark of the Louis XVI decorative canon. Ormolu-style brass mounts at the friezes, pilasters, and apron add a luminous contrast against the dark mahogany ground.

Craftsmanship

Every detail is executed by Brass & Wood master artisans in Egypt, combining traditional hand-tool marquetry techniques with precision joinery. The piece offers three central drawers flanked by a side cabinet, all fitted with brass bail pulls and escutcheons, ensuring both functional storage and museum-quality aesthetics.
