Materials & Finish

The solid wood frame is finished in a rich dark tone and adorned with exquisitely crafted gilt bronze mounts — foliate crests at the top rail, acanthus-leaf sabots at the feet, and floral cartouches along the apron. The side panels feature delicate wood marquetry with floral and vine motifs, adding a painterly depth to the piece. The upholstery is rendered in a sky-blue damask fabric with a cream-toned woven pattern, lending luminous contrast against the dark frame.

Every detail of this sofa is handcrafted by Brass & Wood artisans in Egypt, continuing a tradition of European classical furniture replication executed with meticulous attention to joinery, carving, and metal casting. The cabriole legs taper to gilt bronze sabot feet, echoing the vocabulary of the finest Parisian ébénisterie.
