Rooted in the grand tradition of Neoclassical European interiors, this column pedestal draws from the monumental architecture of ancient Rome and the refined decorative vocabulary of 19th-century Empire style. The soaring fluted shaft, crowned by an elaborately cast gilt-bronze Corinthian capital, evokes the splendour of imperial palaces and aristocratic salons. Every proportion has been studied to command attention while harmonising effortlessly with classical and contemporary interiors alike.

Materials & Finish

The column shaft, pedestal cube, and tiered plinth are crafted in lustrous black marble — a stone celebrated for its depth of colour and its ability to amplify gilded ornament. The Corinthian capital, base collar ring, base-panel plaque featuring a classical urn and acanthus motifs, and plinth banding are all cast in solid brass and finished in rich antique gilt bronze, achieved through meticulous hand-chasing and polishing. The contrast between the cold, vein-streaked black marble and the warm golden bronze creates a visual drama that is the hallmark of the finest Empire interiors.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is handcrafted in the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt by artisans trained in classical European techniques. The marble components are individually selected, cut, and polished by hand. The brass mounts are cast, hand-filed, and gilded to match historical originals, ensuring that every column that leaves the workshop is a faithful homage to the golden age of European decorative arts.
