Louis XV Rococo Bombe Commode – Ivory Lacquer & Gold Leaf with Marble Top
Royal Rococo Elegance
Inspired by the grandeur of 18th-century French court furniture, this bombe commode captures the essence of Louis XV Rococo design. Its dramatically curved silhouette, swelling drawer fronts, and cabriole legs adorned with scrolled feet embody the movement and vitality that defined the era's most celebrated interiors.
Exquisite Materials
The commode is crowned with a slab of genuine veined marble in warm rose and cream tones, lending natural opulence to the piece. The solid wood carcase is finished in a refined ivory lacquer, deliberately aged to evoke the patina of authentic antique furniture, while every carved surface is enriched with hand-applied gold leaf.
Master Craftsmanship
Every acanthus leaf, floral rosette, and scrolling garland is hand-carved and gilded by Brass & Wood artisans in Egypt, faithfully replicating the ormolu mounts of the original period. Five generous drawers — two petite upper drawers and three sweeping lower drawers — are fitted with ornate cast-brass pulls and escutcheons that gleam against the ivory ground, uniting beauty with everyday functionality.
