Design & Inspiration

Rooted in the refined elegance of the Louis XVI period, this grand buffet by Brass & Wood captures the discipline and symmetry of late 18th-century Neoclassical French furniture. Curved end cabinets, fluted pilasters, and precisely framed door panels reflect the era's return to classical antiquity.

Materials & Finishes

The carcass is crafted from solid wood with richly figured burr-wood veneer panels framed by ebonised and brass-inlaid borders. Gilt brass hardware — including door pulls and drawer knobs — adds warmth and authenticity. The top is finished with a pale marble slab, lending cool contrast to the warm wood tones below.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is hand-assembled by Brass & Wood artisans in Cairo, with meticulous attention to joinery, veneer matching, and hand-applied finishes. Turned and tapered legs are shaped individually to echo authentic period proportions.
