Rooted in the exuberant spirit of 18th-century French Rococo, this set of three nesting side tables captures the playful asymmetry and organic flourishes that defined the Louis XV era. Sinuous cabriole legs sweep down to ornate brass sabots, while the gently scalloped aprons echo the flowing curves of Versailles' most celebrated salons. The tables nest seamlessly together, offering both sculptural beauty as a group and functional versatility when separated.

Materials & Finish

Each table is built from solid hardwood shaped and carved by the skilled artisans at Brass & Wood's Cairo atelier. The rich walnut-toned lacquer finish deepens the wood's natural warmth, providing a luxurious backdrop for the hand-applied gilded brass ormolu mounts — cast acanthus scrolls, floral cartouches, and corner brackets that catch and reflect light at every angle. The bevelled glass tops protect the wood while adding a refined, light-enhancing transparency that keeps the silhouette airy and elegant.

Craftsmanship

Every mount is individually cast and hand-chased before being affixed to the frame, a process faithful to the 18th-century Parisian tradition of merging fine cabinetry with decorative metalwork. The cabriole legs are hand-turned and carved to achieve the precise swell and taper that characterise authentic Louis XV proportions.
