This magnificent console table draws its soul from the refined courts of 18th-century France. The Louis XVI Neoclassical aesthetic is celebrated through perfectly symmetrical proportions, fluted and laurel-wreathed legs crowned with acanthus capitals, and a richly carved apron adorned with interlocking scrollwork, rosette medallions, and a continuous bead-and-reel border. Every element speaks to the disciplined elegance that defined the reign of Louis XVI.

Materials & Finish

Crafted entirely from solid wood, the frame is hand-applied with genuine gold leaf, imparting a warm, luminous gilding that catches the light at every angle. The top is a slab of natural cream marble veined in soft ivory tones, providing a cool, opulent contrast to the gilded base. Corner rosette cartouches are delicately picked out with warm red-ochre detailing, adding depth to the ornamental frieze.

Craftsmanship

Each console is produced by master artisans at the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt, where centuries-old woodcarving traditions meet exacting European standards. The legs are individually hand-carved to replicate the bundled-reed and laurel-swag motifs of the original period pieces, while the apron frieze is precision-sculpted before receiving multiple layers of gold leaf and hand-burnished to a radiant finish.
