32-Seat Ivory Hand-Carved Rococo Dining Table with Hand-Painted Floral Frieze (32 Persons)
Design Inspiration
Drawing from the exuberant spirit of 18th-century Rococo interiors, this grand dining table commands attention in any palatial setting. Its ivory lacquer finish evokes the luminous salons of the French court, while the dramatically arched, open-carved trestle base — adorned with acanthus leaves, shell motifs, and cascading scrollwork — pays homage to the era's love of movement, nature, and ornamental excess. Designed to seat 32 guests in aristocratic comfort, it is a statement of architectural scale and artistic ambition.
Materials & Finishes
Crafted entirely from solid fine hardwoods, every surface has been finished in a refined ivory lacquer that lends a timeless, salon-white luminosity. The apron of the tabletop is hand-painted with a continuous polychrome floral frieze — delicate blooms, leaves, and tendrils rendered in soft golds, pinks, greens, and blues — framed by a fine gilded border stripe. The result is a surface that reads as both a painting and a piece of furniture.
Craftsmanship
Each element of the monumental trestle base is hand-carved by Brass & Wood master artisans in Cairo. The symmetrical paired pedestals sweep upward in bold concave curves before meeting at a central spine, while the arched lower panels carry relief-carved palmette and acanthus compositions of exceptional depth and clarity. The tabletop features chamfered octagonal corners, lending the otherwise rectangular form a refined architectural silhouette.
