Design Inspiration

Rooted in the opulent spirit of 18th-century French Rococo, this abaya wardrobe captures the graceful asymmetry and curvilinear elegance that defined the Louis XV era. Angled front corners soften the silhouette, while an ornate brass cartouche centrepiece and scrolling foliate mounts at the crown and base evoke the grandeur of Versailles.

Materials & Finish

Constructed entirely from premium solid walnut, the cabinet showcases the wood's naturally rich, warm grain. Every surface is finished in a deep chestnut lacquer that highlights the timber's character. Decorative hardware — including the central pull, corner escutcheons, and foliate corner brackets — is cast in solid brass and hand-patinated to an antique gold tone that harmonises beautifully with the warm timber.

Craftsmanship

Each piece is shaped, assembled, and finished entirely by hand in the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt. Master craftsmen dedicate hundreds of hours to fitting the brass ornaments flush against the wood, ensuring hairline-tight door alignment and a whisper-quiet close. The roomy interior offers generous hanging space purpose-built for full-length abayas, thobes, and formal gowns.
