Neoclassical Marble Column Pedestal with Gilt Corinthian Capital
Design Inspiration
Rooted in the grandeur of Neoclassical European architecture, this column pedestal draws from the iconic Corinthian order — celebrated since antiquity for its elaborate acanthus-leaf capital. Brass & Wood reinterprets this timeless form as a luxurious interior accent piece, evoking palatial galleries and aristocratic salons of 18th-century Europe.
Materials & Finish
The shaft and octagonal base are crafted from genuine veined marble in warm beige tones, its natural striations lending organic depth and elegance. The fluted column rises to a magnificent capital cast in solid brass and finished in polished antique gold, capturing light with every ornate scroll and leaf detail. A complementary marble top plate completes the composition.
Craftsmanship
Every element is shaped and assembled by master artisans at Brass & Wood's Egyptian atelier. The marble is hand-selected, cut, and polished to reveal its finest veining, while the brass capital is individually cast, chased, and gilded to museum-quality standards. The result is a pedestal of heirloom calibre, equally suited to display a sculpture, vase, or objet d'art.
