2-Seat Contemporary Salon Sofa with Geometric Wood Inlay
Design Inspiration
This 2-seat sofa draws from contemporary Middle Eastern design vocabulary, marrying clean architectural lines with the rich geometric ornamentation of Islamic art. The striking criss-cross inlay pattern cascading across the solid wood base and side panels pays homage to traditional mashrabiya latticework, reinterpreted through a bold modern lens. A carved arabesque screen panel crowns the left armrest, adding a refined artisanal accent that speaks to centuries of regional craft heritage.
Materials & Finish
The frame is constructed from premium solid hardwood, finished in a warm medium-brown tone with a satin varnish that highlights the natural grain. Geometric inlay lines rendered in a contrasting off-white material trace angular compositions across every visible panel surface. The seat and back cushions are upholstered in a textured linen-blend fabric in soft grey-beige, complemented by a curated mix of rust-orange and neutral patterned scatter cushions. An integrated side table in a muted sage-green finish completes the composition.
Craftsmanship
Every element of this sofa is hand-assembled by Brass & Wood artisans in Egypt. The precision inlay work, the carved screen detail, and the tight upholstery seaming all reflect the studio's commitment to old-world craftsmanship applied to contemporary silhouettes. The result is a statement piece that anchors a living room with personality and cultural depth.
