The carved floral crest rail, the delicate rope-and-bead moulding along the apron, and the scrolled armrests all speak to a tradition of aristocratic refinement that Brass & Wood proudly perpetuates from its Cairo atelier.

Materials & Upholstery

The frame is constructed from seasoned solid hardwood and entirely hand-gilded with a warm gold-leaf finish, creating the luminous antique-gold appearance so characteristic of period French furniture. The upholstery is a rich sage-green damask brocade, woven with soft rose-copper floral and foliate motifs on a silvery-sage ground. The fabric drapes seamlessly over the back panel, seat cushion, and armrest pads, while two cylindrical bolster cushions and a square accent cushion — each adorned with hand-knotted silk tassels and medallion rosettes — complete the luxurious ensemble.

Craftsmanship

Every element of this sofa is handcrafted by Brass & Wood's master artisans in Egypt. The frame is hand-carved, then meticulously prepared and gilded leaf by leaf.
